Isotiles are supplied in boxes of twenty, with ten of each shape. There are 10 such boxes in a full pack, together with a CD on which an interactive Work Book is recorded. You may view the whole Work Book from this site too.
Isotiles have been trialled in a wide range of different types of schools, and the material has been found suited to ages from 8 or 9 through to 16. Different parts of the material will suit different ability ranges, and we suggest you make a thorough study of the Work Book to determine best use. The topics are arranged in a natural sequence, and for revision purposes it would suit some students to work through everything from start to finish.
Teachers who have trialled Isotiles have used the Work Book mainly as a guide, and have presented the topics verbally. Some have printed individual pages as worksheets, or made overhead projector slides from them.
Each topic is introduced with some definition of properties and terms, and then follow 'things to do' activities. The number of Isotiles required for each activity is shown at the beginning each time. Each activity page also has an answer which can be brought into view by clicking a button. This means that the student can be challenged to work out the answer first, but single pupils can work through everything on their own, if this is thought to be beneficial.
Provided you have bought Isotiles for use with these pages, permission for limited copying is given freely.
